Proficiency Awards

Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through their SAEs, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Juniors and seniors complete these award applications in class, and it also helps to count toward their mastery based learning requirement for graduation. Each year we have multiple state winners who win scholarship money for their high quality applications. Those students go on to compete nationally for the potential to be recognized on stage at the National FFA Convention.

Chapter, State, and American FFA Degree Awards

These degrees recognize the accomplishments of well-rounded students who are successful in their education, agriculture, SAE, FFA, and other activities outside of school. Students who complete a benchmark of hours are eligible for these high degrees of recognition. Woodbury FFA continues to have multiple graduates each year who earn the prestigious golden key of the American FFA degree, an honor bestowed upon less than 1% of the total population of FFA students in the country!

SAE Spotlight Award

These awards recognize students who excel at their SAE location. Teachers maintain consistent contact with student employers, and employers recommend their high achieving students to receive an SAE Spotlight award at school. These students have their SAE bio and SAE photos displayed on a bulletin board in the ag building to serve as inspiration for other students. These students also give a short presentation about their SAE at monthly alumni meetings or advisory committee meetings throughout the year.
