Holiday Open House

The Holiday Open House is held Every Year. There was the pet adoption sponsored by Animals for Life, a local non-profit organization. Due to the day’s success, many dogs and cats found potential homes. There was also a Pet Food Drive in which dog and cat food was collected and later donated to local animal shelters. Another method of advertising pets that needed homes was a giving tree.  This was an artificial Christmas tree which was decorated with ornaments having pictures of animals waiting to be adopted. For five dollars people could purchase an ornament and the proceeds went to Animals For Life.  There was also a photo opportunity with Santa Clause.

Another important part of the day was a plant sale in which the Horticulture classes sold Poinsettias and wreaths as a major fundraiser for the year.  This part of the day was a huge success.
