FFA is important to me because: The FFA has taught me so many valuable life skills that will help me in life such as public speaking and how to apply for and take responsibility for a job. Through the FFA, I have been inspired to do great things and to help motivate others to work their hardest to achieve their goals in life and have been given one of the greatest opportunities of my life. This organization has allowed me to pursue my passion in large animal science as well as make incredible friends and create unforgettable memories and experiences I will treasure for as long as I live. I will be forever in debt for all of the unforgettable skills, wisdom and experiences the FFA has offered to me and I will forever bleed corn gold and national blue.

I love: showing my cows in fairs and in 4-H and helping milk our cows at my uncle’s dairy farm. I have worked with dairy cattle my entire life and have never stopped loving it. Agriculture truly is my passion and I have made so many unforgettable memories showing my cows with my friends at fairs and couldn’t have asked for a better way to grow up! Along with showing my cows, I also love playing volleyball and basketball as well as spending time with my family and friends whom I love.

I am most inspired by: both of my parents, they were the ones who convinced me to join the FFA and have been there to support me with everything I do. They have taught me so many important life skills as well as what it means to be a kind person, a great friend, and a strong leader and I will forever be grateful for that. I am also inspired by my friends who always support me and encourage me to follow my dreams, as well as former National Western Regional Vice President, Caleb Gustin, who came to visit and spend time with our chapter, which further encouraged me to follow my passion and strive to succeed.

FFA is important to me because: it has taught be how to be a leader and inspire others. When I came into this program, I was amazed by the confidence and kindness of the officer team and other FFA members. In the past four years, I have used this inspiration, lessons from other members, and my experiences through the program to develop into the person I am now

I love: being outside, traveling, and exploring new places. When I have the time, I like to hike with my dogs and always try to find a place I haven’t gone before.

I am most inspired by: anyone with an open mind. I love exchanging ideas and broadening my perspective, something that can only happen with someone open minding. I feel that every truly enriching conversation can change me and my direction in some way

FFA is important to me because: it has changed my life in countless ways. The FFA has given me a new family, the ability to speak confidently in front of others, and has given me the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

I love: anything that has to do with the FFA. I also enjoy reading books and listening to music.

I am most inspired by: The ag teachers. Every one of these teachers put the students before themself and are willing to go out of their way to help us. They spend countless hours working to make our lives easier, and are truly the kind of people that I aspire to be in life.

I love: When ever I have free time (which is a rare occasion) I like to read, sing, draw, or really do anything related to literature and the arts in general. Not to mention I am a huge movie buff, ranging from one of my new favorite oldies, Mr. Smith goes to Washington, to more modern stuff like the newly Oscar winning movie, The Revenant.

FFA is important to me because: of the opportunities that it has given me over my 4 years of high school. With out FFA I don’t know where I would be. Through FFA I have met some of my best friends, I have had the opportunity to travel all over America and the chance to travel the globe, and I have been able to demonstrate my skills on the national level and have been awarded a gold metal.

I love: my family and friends, my dogs (Annie, Ellie, and Maggie), kayaking, the FFA, baking, flowers, hiking, reading, writing, and spring

I am most inspired by: my parents and their devotion to me and my brother. They have always been supportive of our dreams, and are always there when I need them. Through FFA they have driven hundreds of miles bringing me to competitions, trips, and conventions. I’m thankful for all that they do to inspire me every day.

FFA is important to me because: because it has thought me a lot of new skills and it has made become a much more outgoing person. FFA has brought me many friendships that will last me a life time.

I love: to dance, go boating, being out side, spending time with my family, and skiing.

I am most inspired by: My parents they are always there to help and they encourage me to get more involved. My mom graduated from the program in 1986 and was in the FFA all 4 years serving in office at the chapter and district levels. My sister also served in office. This inspires me to follow in their footsteps and do the best I can.

FFA is important to me because: It is so awesome!! I was a member of the 1996-97 Woodbury Chapter Officer Team, serving as the Sentinel. The leadership, team building, and public speaking skills I learned from that experience were priceless. The FFA is an amazing organization that I am proud to once again be actively involved in.

I love to: Spend time with my family and friends. I have two amazing children who I adore above all else. I also love spending time outdoors doing just about anything. My third “love” is that of music. I always have music in my head. I have played classic violin/fiddle for 27 years and have added other instruments including the guitar, viola, and bassoon along the way.

I am most inspired by: My inspiration comes from my family, especially my wife. She always pushes me to be the best that I can be, even at times when I don’t have as much faith my ability as she has in me. For that I will be forever grateful.
